Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – National Inland Fisheries Technology Center (BFAR-NIFTC) will selectively breed different strains of Common Carp (Tanay, Sukabumi, Majalaya, and Vietnam strains) and Catfish (Tanay, Thailand, and Vietnam strains) to produce upgraded strains of these species. The production of fingerlings will take place at the hatchery and pond facilities within BFAR-NIFTC. Additionally, the operations of BFAR’s Technology Outreach Stations (TOS) will be enhanced to serve as Multi-Species Hatchery Facilities, further supporting aquaculture development.

- 1 Multi-Species Hatchery assisted
- Five (5) TOS facility assessed to further recommend improvements of its facilities resulting to an increased production of atleast 10%.
