The launching of the Farmers Field School (FFS), titled “Promoting Inclusive Aquaculture Through a Gender-Responsive Strategy for Tilapia Sustainable Livelihood,” aims to empower farmers, fisherfolk, and communities by advancing sustainable aquaculture practices while promoting gender inclusivity, equity, and economic development.

The program focuses on enhancing the livelihoods of tilapia farmers through environmentally sustainable techniques and addressing gender disparities in the field. It emphasizes the active participation of women and marginalized groups in aquaculture to ensure equitable opportunities and meaningful contributions.

The event was a momentous step towards building more inclusive and sustainable aquaculture practices, benefiting not just individual farmers but the entire community.
